Imperial Palace is one of the finest resorts in Biloxi, Mississippi opened in 1997. After hurricane Katrina, it was the first one which was renovated and reopened. In December 22, 2005, Imperial Palace became IP Hotel & Casino. The building of IP Hotel & Casino is very much fresh and modern. The rooms are greatly comfortable. The good food and the endless entertainment are the two main features of IP.

The resort is on the Bayview Ave which is on the shores of Back Bay of Biloxi. Boomtown Casino is just four blocks away from IP. The IP comprises of three major areas.

1. a 32 story hotel tower
2. the central building having 3 stories of 24 hour gaming, hotel lobby, shops, spa and restaurants
3. a parking garage of 12 floors having a swimming pool at the rooftop.

The hotel tower of the resort is 32 stories high. It is among the tallest buildings of Mississippi. The hotel has more than 1000 rooms including some lavish suites and Jacuzzi. The rooms were renovated in 2005 and 2006. The view of the Gulf Coast from the rooms pointing southwards is inevitable. For its luxurious infrastructure, it was awarded the 4 diamond rating by AAA. The interior of the rooms is so soothing that you will love to be in your room. The shades used are perfect and modern. There are coffee maker, ironing equipments, television, electronic safe and hair dryer in the rooms.

The casino is over 70,000 square feet. The main floor of the casino has 60 table games, players’ club booth and many slot machines. Along the perimeter of the casino there are bars, video poker and televisions. There are lots more slots at the second floor. In total there are 1900 slots in the casino. The poker room has 14 tables.

There are seven spots for the dining purpose. The whole dining was reinvented in 2005. These seven spots include Carnaval de Brazil, Back Bay Buffet, Highlights Sports Lounge, High Tide Café, 32 Steak & Seafood, Quench, Tien and Infusion Coffee Bar.

The resort is full of excitement as there are various ways to get entertained and relax. It is at the top in means of entertainment. There are lounges where you can chill out.  Video arcade is also a spot to have fun. It is at the second floor. There’s a swimming pool at the 12^th floor of the parking garage where you can relax and enjoy some special services. Senses Spa and Salon, is a recreational point where you can gym and have everything you want from a spa and a salon. There is a ample space for parking. Both, valet as well as self parking is available.

If you are holidaying in Biloxi, there is no shortage of spots that you must make a trip to in order to make your vacation complete in every sense. There is a long list of historic places here, which attract throngs of people every single day. All of these places are breathtakingly beautiful and have a story attached to them. One such place is the Beauvoir Jefferson Davis Shrine in Biloxi. This monument stands as a memorial to the Confederate Soldier, US senator, Secretary of War Jefferson Davis. This was the last home that Davis lived in and it also served as the retirement home of the brave soldier.

Jefferson Davis moved into this place in the year 1877 and continued to live here till the time of his death which took place in 1889. After this, Mrs. Davis sold this property to the Mississippi Division of the Sons of Confederate Veterans on two conditions, one being that this property be used Confederate Veterans Home for the veterans and/or their widows at no charge to them, which was implemented from the period of 1903 to 1957. After this the last three widows were shifted to a nursing home in Greenwood. The second condition was that this place should be used as a memorial to her husband, which it is used at till this day.

The Beauvoir Jefferson Davis Shrine is a perfect place for people who have keen interest in history and enjoy looking at old monuments. The shrine is situated amongst 52 acres of land which is so beautifully landscaped that it is a treat to the eyes. Apart from this monument, there are other adjoining areas like the cemetery, a museum, Davis Family Gallery, Theatre, Tomb of the Unknown Confederate Soldier, and gift shop. The library here houses a portion of Davis’s original documents and books. The furnishings within the house are also remarkable beautiful as they are adorned with mostly original Davis pieces. The Beauvoir Jefferson Davis Shrine is certainly not a place to be missed while you are in Biloxi. The monument is open to everyone on all days, barring Thanksgiving and Christmas.

As we all know, Biloxi is a place known for its casinos and beautiful hotels. It is located in Mississippi. It is fun to be here. The Palace Casino Resort Biloxi is one of the famous resorts in Biloxi. It is generally overlooked due to its location in the off beaten area. But I must say it is just like a gem which was reopened on December 30, 2005 after great destruction caused by the hurricane Katrina.

It has a casino as well as a hotel. The size of this resort may be sheer but the beauty of this resort is incomparable. It lacks wide range of dinning options and children activities but this resort is famous for its elegancy and lavish hotel rooms. The casino is lively and the restaurants are amazing. There is a swimming pool at the bayside.

The Palace Casino Resort is situated on the Howard Avenue at the bay-front. It is very much near to the residential area in Biloxi. You can easily access to Beach Blvd and Biloxi’s Casino Row as they are only four blocks away from the resort.

The Palace Casino’s hotel rooms are incredible in respect of their interior. The view of either the gulf and Casino Row or the bay from thee rooms at the upper floor of the hotel are remarkable. The rooms are alluring as they are furnished totally in a luxurious way. Everything in the room is of high quality. You are provided with coffee maker, electronic safe, dressing table, high speed internet, nice towels, hairdryer, iron and board, shampoo and many other amenities in your room.

There is a two floor casino in the hotel tower which is land based. This is opened just a few months back. There are 800 slot machines, 14 game tables, and a variety of video poker machines. Blackjack, Craps, Three Card Poker, Pai Gow and Roulette are the table games played there.

There you can enjoy meals at Mignon’s Steak and Seafood Restaurant which is one of the finest dinning in the resort. There you can have seafood and steaks which are absolutely marvelous. Wine is also served there. It is at the second floor of the hotel.

Palace Buffet is another fine dinning in the resort famous for its regional and international cuisines. You can have sandwiches, coffee and pastries in the Palace Café and Bakery.

At the poolside there is Wahoo’s Poolside Bar and Grill which serves various appetizers and other eatables. It is at the third floor of the resort and is opened seasonally.

You can chill out at the outdoor swimming pool of the resort. It is situated just next to marina and the bay. The sandy beach volleyball court, bar and the cabana service are among the best features of the resort. You can also enjoy fishing a marina.

Biloxi in Mississippi makes for the perfect tourist spot in all the possible ways. It has a good blend of activities to keep its tourists entertained as well as occupied. Food is a very important part of travel and Biloxi does not fail to please in this department either. The regulars to this restaurant swear by the 99 cent shrimp cocktail which is considered to be a must order while you are here. it is a mouth watering cup of shrimps along with shredded lettuce in a cocktail sauce. The ambience here is also very interesting with a wall full of black and white photo frames of the waterfront. All in all, The Ole Biloxi Schooner is a modestly priced place that offered you the best food in Biloxi. If you want to sample the authentic dishes of Biloxi, then this is the best bet.
